We at British Women Artists are delighted to give you the opportunity to enter this art competition which as well as giving you the chance to win £300, will get your work viewed by a few professional curators and critics who in choosing 3 favourite art works before deciding upon a winner will debate and discuss your work.
What you need to do
Be a member of the website www.Britishwomenartists.com select an artwork uploaded onto this site of any medium and your close ups will be included
Pay £5 which will go toward the prize money and the organisation of an exhibition for the future.
Write a short description about your work, the materials that you used and why you did it in 300 words or less.
Judges
Tony Pontone Managing Director Of Albemarle Gallery Located in London’s West End, Mayfair, the Albemarle is considered to be one of the best small galleries in London. It has a tradition of supporting controversial artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and styles.
Edward Lucy Smith, British writer, poet, art critic, curator, broadcaster and author of numerous books including Sexuality in Western Art, Symbolist Art, Movements in Art Since 1945 and numerous others.
Amanda Rigler, curator of The New Hall Collection, this unusual collection contains nearly 350 contemporary works by distinguished women including Maggi Hambling, Barbara Hepworth and Paula Rego.
